  Glacier 1.2.0 focuses on quality-of-life improvements.

  The biggest addition is the new update command, which lets you update the glacier CLI in place without manually downloading and replacing the executable.

  This release also extends backup encryption to Nextcloud and Outline, bringing them in line with Bitwarden. Finally, it fixes the placement of encrypted_password in the TOML example configuration file.

  Glacier 1.1.0 adds an improved configuration system.

  Previously, the configuration was read from an .env. This env file had to be in the current working directory, so you couldn't call the CLI from anywhere. Now, you can configure in 3 ways, with each one overriding the previous one in order :

  1. Global config file: ~/.config/glacier.toml
  2. Local config file: .config/glacier.toml
  3. Environment variables (including .env files) <- same as before

  This marks the first release of Glacier, a backup service for preserving data from the software I use every day.

  Glacier 1.0.0 provides support for backing up Bitwarden, Nextcloud, and Outline, with backups stored locally or in S3. It includes a command-line interface, support for services that export multiple backup artifacts, and optional encryption and decryption of backup files.
